Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Faculty Group Practice Nuclear Tech, you will play a critical role in performing medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute equipment set-up, utilization, and proper maintenance procedures.
  • Operate hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to nuclear medicine.
  • Effectively assess patient information and status, and follow appropriate procedures.
  • Independently implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
  • Independently implement non-imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree from a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) recognized program.
  • Eligibility to take certification exam in Nuclear Medicine by either the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Nuclear Med Tech Cert (NMTCB) license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an associate degree or baccalaureate degree in nuclear medicine technology.
