Join Our Team as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at PeaceHealth

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families during one of the most significant moments of their lives.

About the Role

This is a 0.9 FTE night shift position, working three 12-hour shifts per week. You will be part of a collaborative team in our 32-bed LDRP Model Family Birth Center, which features two OR suites and offers specialized birthing experiences, including natural births, water births, and midwife-assisted deliveries.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
  • Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
  • Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of established hospital policies, procedures, and objectives.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum 1 year labor and delivery nursing experience within the last 2 years or recent completion of a labor and delivery training program.
  • WA State Registered Nurse license or active Multistate license.
  • Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification within 60 days of hire.
