Operations Manager

Keen Transport, a global logistics company, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team in processing new heavy equipment from inbound shipping vessels to outbound trucks. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff to meet processing goals, metrics, and targets, ensuring adequate training and tools are provided to all employees, and evaluating and establishing operating procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Lead supervisory staff to meet processing goals, metrics, and targets
  • Ensure that adequate training and tools are provided to all employees
  • Evaluate and establish operating procedures
  • Ensure that workplace safety standards are met
  • Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors, business associates, and employees
  • Ensure that supervisory staff is cross-trained in multiple functions, and embraces a team-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Develop, motivate, and train all levels of employees for their professional development and future growth
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of planning and directing operations experience
  • Practical knowledge of revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results
  • Manufacturing and production experience is a must
  • Experience leading continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost-efficient work environment that meets performance targets
  • SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software applications
  • Clean and valid driver's license
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional shop/yard environment. Frequent exposure to the elements (such as dust, dirt, rain) and chemicals (such as fumes and fluids) occur during operation of construction and agricultural equipment, cranes, forklifts, welding, painting, etc.
