We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Respiratory Therapy to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing the Respiratory Care Services department to ensure efficient and economical operation and high-quality pediatric patient care.
Responsibilities:- Direct and coordinate the Respiratory Care Services department to ensure efficient and economical operation and high-quality pediatric patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical programs, staffing protocols, and therapeutic methods and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of patient services.
- Establish and enforce written policies and procedures for the provision of all Department services.
- Review and revise policies and procedures annually and as needed.
- Continually strive to meet the identified needs of the users of Department services.
- Provide effective customer service and address all complaints.
- Work with supervisors and staff to resolve issues and communicate with others to ensure resolution.
- Responsible for oversight of direct reports, including respiratory managers, supervisors, and other respiratory leaders.
- Develop and implement goals and objectives in consultation with Administration, Medical Staff, and staff consistent with Hospital Mission.
- Consistently complete all assignments in a timely manner, appropriately detailed with predetermined measurable checkpoints and expected variations.
- Bachelor's degree from an approved school of Respiratory Care.
- New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- Credentials issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification.
- Minimum of 5-7 years clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
- 2-5 years of progressive leadership experience.
- Master's degree in an appropriate field of study.
- PALS certification.
- Experience inclusive of pediatrics and/or neonates.
