Job Title: Director Cardiac Catheter Lab

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Director Cardiac Cath Lab to join our team.

About the Role:

The Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab and Physiology departments is a Registered Nurse (RN) with the knowledge, skill, and competence in the field of invasive cardiac nursing.

The Director utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to facilitate optimal patient care. The Director demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the cardiac patient population.

Responsibilities:
  • Assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing, and managing the departments and staff to assure quality service on a 24-hour basis
  • Prepares and implements written policies and procedures for all phases of departmental operations
  • Directs all quality review functions and operations in the Department, including clinical management of patients, patient satisfaction, and safety, and effective and efficient utilization of hospital services
  • Establishes, implements, and monitors annual goals and objectives that are consistent with the hospital's mission and objectives
  • Monitors activities of managers and supervisors to ensure compliance with established guidelines and policies
  • Facilitates strong lines of communication between managers and staff
Requirements:
  • BSN required, MSN preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant clinical experience with cardiac population required
  • Minimum two (2) years in cardiovascular leadership required
  • NJ Nursing Licensure required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
