OVERVIEW
The Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) serves as the Housing Finance Agency for the state of Missouri, overseeing various federal and state programs aimed at providing affordable housing solutions for residents with low to moderate incomes. The agency collaborates with numerous partners and stakeholders to enhance the availability of affordable housing through three primary areas: (1) Affordable Housing Development; (2) Single Family Homeownership; and (3) Homelessness Assistance.

WORKING REQUIREMENTS
- Full-time in the St. Louis, Missouri office
The Reception Operations Specialist will deliver administrative assistance to callers, visitors, and staff members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Answer, log, and redirect incoming calls to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Manage and monitor the main entrance for staff and guests.
- Welcome guests entering the office in a courteous and professional manner and validate parking.
- Record incoming mail, faxes, packages, and checks received.
- Operate and provide support for office equipment, including copiers, printers, and phone systems.
- Attend and actively engage in meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assist employees, vendors, state agencies, departments, divisions, and organizations in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Safeguard and maintain confidential information.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner and project a positive image of the agency at all times through communication, attitude, and appearance.
- Comply with reasonable requests from any management member.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of three years of experience in administrative roles and possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Candidates must possess the ability to read, write, understand, and spell the English language, and communicate effectively with individuals or groups in person or by phone. Must be able to comprehend, recall, and follow complex oral or written instructions.
- The physical demands necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position include the ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, grasp, turn wrists, manipulate fingers, talk, see, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
