Position Overview:
HomeSafe Alliance is in search of a dedicated and proficient Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role will support the Accounting Manager in various facets of General Accounting, Payroll, Employee Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, and Accounts Payable.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate documentation of journal entries within your designated area.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring thorough and timely completion with clear explanations for any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the monthly closing process by preparing or approving month-end journal entries and addressing potential issues that may arise.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports and analyses for internal and external auditors, addressing periodic information requests.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Identify and implement technological enhancements and best practices in financial processes across the business unit.
  • Ensure adherence to HomeSafe accounting policies and operational practices.
  • Support the Transaction Services department with transaction documentation.
  • Perform various ad-hoc analyses and additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, and DCAA regulations.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual obligations.

  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to research issues and propose solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Costpoint and EPM is preferred.

Work Environment:
This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-from-home arrangement. HomeSafe will provide the necessary equipment; however, employees must have access to high-speed internet.
