Accountant Position at Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. (SRS)

We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to enhance our team at SRS, recognized as the largest independent manager of insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with an experienced client account team to produce high-quality financial and regulatory documentation
  • Accurately maintain and reconcile the General Ledger
  • Prepare and scrutinize monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Manage the preparation and submission of premium tax returns
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of regulatory filings
  • Engage in daily communication with clients, both verbally and in writing
  • Facilitate client financial audits
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with client Boards of Directors
  • Coordinate effectively with third-party service providers and state regulators
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is essential; CPA certification is advantageous
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably within captive management or the insurance sector
  • Experience in insurance accounting and auditing is preferred; candidates with commercial or public accounting backgrounds are also welcome
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial/general ledger accounting software
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in teams or work independently, with a strong attention to detail and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 5% as required
Interview Process:
  • Initial: Phone discussion with Talent Acquisition or Human Resources
  • Subsequent: In-person interview with the Hiring Manager and team
