Position Overview:
The International Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for enhancing global manufacturing efficiency through collaboration in equipment, process, and product engineering.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership in Manufacturing Processes:
    Direct technical enhancements and provide troubleshooting assistance in metal and plastic fabrication processes. Elevate manufacturing efficiency as indicated by process performance metrics. Facilitate alignment on manufacturing process standards across remote sites to ensure optimal safety, quality, and productivity. Mentor site manufacturing engineering teams for skill development.
  • Strategy for Production Equipment:
    Implement improvement initiatives for helical wire processing machinery. Keep the global proprietary machine design drawing catalog current and comprehensive. Spearhead a global machine maintenance strategy to enhance asset reliability. Evaluate and support the development of new capital equipment business cases.
  • Collaboration with Product Engineering:
    Offer insights to product development engineers regarding Design for Manufacturability principles. Assist in the implementation of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
  • Technical Expertise and Operations Support:
    Introduce innovative manufacturing developments to PLP facilities globally. Evaluate overall operational performance and initiate improvement measures.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of ten years in manufacturing process engineering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing technologies and methodologies.
  • At least five years of management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, inventory management, and costing software.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are crucial.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects across various departments and locations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Must be able to work in a standard manufacturing and office environment, utilizing standard office equipment, maintaining focus despite interruptions, and possessing the physical capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
