Position Title: Quality Control Manager

Company: Vacuum Process Engineering, Inc.

Compensation Range: $110-125k

Overview:

The Quality Control Manager is pivotal in upholding quality standards and managing all quality assurance activities. This role encompasses the training and development of personnel to ensure that high-quality benchmarks are consistently met throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inspection and testing methodologies for products
  • Verify that products adhere to established quality standards
  • Recommend corrective measures to improve quality compliance
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis training across the organization
  • Oversee timelines for product delivery
  • Conduct thorough inspections of finished products
  • Analyze data for precise reporting
  • Train and oversee production line personnel
  • Complete all required documentation accurately
  • Manage departmental staff to achieve project objectives
  • Provide leadership within the quality department
  • Enhance the quality management system
  • Evaluate quality risks to mitigate unnecessary expenses
  • Prepare for both internal and external quality assessments
  • Collaborate with various departments
  • Assist in the analysis of non-conformances
  • Conduct Internal Quality Audits
  • Train inspectors in diverse inspection methodologies

Supervisory Duties:

Oversee the Quality Department, including QC inspectors, engineers, and QA personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality
  • At least 5 years in a manufacturing setting
  • 5+ years in a Quality Management position
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 standards
  • Experience in customer quality assurance
  • Lead Auditor certification
  • Inspection expertise
  • Knowledge of JobBoss and Nadcap

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Five years of experience in an industrial manufacturing Quality Department

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Mathematical Proficiency:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts

Computer Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Driver's License

Additional Skills:

Strong communication and management capabilities

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities are necessary. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
