Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Valmont Industries, Inc. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing quality efforts within the organization, developing processes, implementing improvements, and working with cross-functional teams to drive continuous enhancements in quality and operations performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel occasionally, up to 20%, to various locations to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and customer service, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives, utilizing LEAN principles and statistical analysis tools to drive quality improvements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Communicate with customers to address quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Requirements for Candidates:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or quality assurance, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, including ISO 9001 and industry-specific regulations.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis tools, such as Minitab or JMP.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, including blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in team settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with a focus on quality assurance or a related field.
  • Experience in metals manufacturing, with knowledge of industry-specific regulations and quality standards.
  • 6-Sigma certification, with a proven track record of implementing quality improvements.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
