Overview: We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist I to oversee and execute quality assurance evaluations of software applications and various program output data/files; perform analysis including workflows and processes.
- Consistent on-site attendance is required.
- Conduct audits on exports such as CSV, Excel, flat text & 834 for precision.
- Utilize SQL skills to verify mapping documents against source documents and system tables.
- Manually review plan documents based on client source documents provided by Client Managers.
- Formulate test plans and test cases for software applications.
- Establish methodologies for regression and acceptance testing.
- Document defects and bugs; confirm bug resolutions.
- Create a checklist of sequential tasks for system integrity validation.
- Execute testing, acceptance testing, and regression testing prior to product launch.
- Examine data structures for electronic data exchange testing and evaluate electronic exchange data files.
- Develop processes/workflows and internal documentation.
- Carry out necessary software maintenance tasks.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- In-depth understanding of quality assurance standards.
- Exceptional communication skills to convey technical and business information effectively.
- Proficient in Windows 10 or later, Mac OS, Word, Excel, Outlook, SQL, Zoom, and Internet Browsers.
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not entail supervisory duties.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D; a minimum of two years of experience in a related Information System field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications: Capability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and meet the knowledge, skill, and ability requirements.
Language Skills: Proficient in English communication, interpreting documents, writing reports, and addressing customer service inquiries.
Reasoning and Analytical Ability:
- Strong reasoning and analytical skills to interpret instructions and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to analyze information and think logically and analytically.
Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, occasional standing and walking, lifting up to 10 pounds, and specific vision capabilities. This is an office-based role.
Work Environment: Moderate noise level typical of an office setting.
