Job Overview:

At General Dynamics Information Technology, our workforce is our greatest asset. We are looking for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to enhance our support for various Navy-related initiatives. As an FSO within the Department of Defense (DOD), you will play a crucial role in managing a range of Naval contracts and fostering essential relationships with government officials. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to address security requirements for DOD programs worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain connections with the internal security division and relevant government security representatives.
  • Oversee and implement the DOD security program and associated security functions to ensure adherence to governmental regulations and organizational policies.
  • Provide direction to management and staff concerning security guidelines and protocols.
  • Engage in the formulation and execution of security procedures in collaboration with governmental bodies and company leadership.
  • Conduct security briefings and develop training programs related to security.
  • Investigate security breaches and propose corrective measures.
  • Maintain communication with external agencies.
  • Assist personnel in obtaining security clearances as necessary.
  • Input security data into automated systems and generate related reports as required.
  • Manage physical security for a large industrial facility, including access control and surveillance systems.
  • Support classified information systems as needed.
  • Participate in special projects as requested.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in facility or industrial security management; or six years of total related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in utilizing automated systems, both internal and governmental, along with the ability to create necessary reports.
  • Must possess DISS and NISS access.
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in facility or industrial security management, preferably within the government contracting sector.
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliant with at least one certification such as Security +, CISSP, CAP, CISA, CEH, or CISM.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $56,265 - $76,122. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual obligations, and may vary outside this range.
