Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Facility Security Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a Facility Security Specialist, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating the Department of Defense (DOD) security program and other related security activities for an office or group to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with internal security organizations and government security personnel to ensure seamless security operations.
  • Administer and coordinate the DOD security program, including conducting security briefings, developing and conducting security-related training programs, and investigating security violations.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding security regulations and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of security procedures in coordination with government agencies and company management.
  • Manage physical security for a large industrial facility, including access control and camera systems.
  • Support classified information systems, as required.
  • Participate in special projects, as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, plus a minimum of two years related experience in facility or industrial security administration; or six years total related experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Competency in using automated systems, both internal and government, and building relevant reports, as needed.
  • Must have DISS and NISS.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience in facility or industrial security administration, preferably in the government contracting industry.
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliant with a minimum certification of Security +; CISSP, CAP, CISA, CEH, CISM.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule. The employee will be required to work on-site at our facility in Pawcatuck, CT, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
