Job Title: Facility Security Officer

At General Dynamics, we are seeking a highly skilled Facility Security Officer to join our team. As a Facility Security Officer, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating the DoD security program and other related security activities for an office or group to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building relationships with internal security organizations and government security personnel
  • Administering and coordinating the DoD security program and other related security activities
  • Providing guidance to managers and employees regarding security regulations and procedures
  • Participating in the development and implementation of security procedures
  • Conducting security briefings and training programs
  • Investigating security violations and recommending corrective actions
  • Maintaining liaison with outside agencies
  • Assisting employees in acquiring security clearance, when required
  • Managing physical security for a 95,000+ square foot industrial facility
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, plus a minimum of two years related experience in facility or industrial security administration
  • Competency in using automated systems, both internal and government, and building relevant reports
  • Must have DISS and NISS
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of related experience in facility or industrial security administration, preferably in the government contracting industry
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliant with a minimum certification of Security +; CISSP, CAP, CISA, CEH, CISM
