POSITION OVERVIEW
Implement the designated sales and marketing initiatives by crafting tailored account strategies and ensuring a profitable business operation.
YOUR MISSION (Responsibilities)
- Engage in extensive travel across the assigned region, connecting with all designated Running Specialty accounts, including weekends for significant events.
- Participate in essential retailer and channel gatherings, such as trade exhibitions and conferences.
- Deliver exceptional service and technical knowledge from initial engagement to final sale.
- Build and sustain robust relationships with accounts in the region as well as internal partners to drive business growth.
- Oversee all facets of the business for the wholesale account portfolio, including but not limited to:
- Product introduction – presentations and training sessions.
- Strategic business planning, order processing, and operational responsibilities.
- Management of order books.
- Store merchandising and sales strategy planning.
- Meet annual sales volume objectives for the assigned region and key accounts.
- Attain annual distribution goals for the designated territory.
- Ensure all orders are fulfilled by the booking deadline.
- Provide the Channel Sales Manager with weekly updates on account status and sales tracking for both pre-book and quarterly targets.
- Identify and nurture new Running Specialty accounts within the assigned region.
- Conduct product and brand training throughout the territory to enhance market sales as necessary.
- Actively manage the order book with the designated Sales Support Representative on a daily and weekly basis to review all outstanding orders and confirm product shipment.
YOUR TALENT (Qualifications)
- Minimum of 3 years in an external sales position, preferably within the Running or sports sector.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Previous experience as a competitive high school or collegiate runner is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is essential.
- Must possess extensive, up-to-date knowledge, including technical insights into Running footwear and apparel, as well as competitive brands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power-BI).
- High energy level and professionalism are required.
- Outstanding follow-through and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to effectively present products and brands using PowerPoint and spreadsheet software.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and focus on primary business objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
