Retirement Unlimited Incorporated is in search of a Senior Vice President of Operations to become a vital member of our Corporate Operations Leadership Team.

The Senior Vice President of Operations (SVPO) will provide strategic direction to executive Directors and Regional Staff by inspiring, guiding, and facilitating operational plans focused on quality care, employee engagement, revenue growth, and overall business performance. The SVPO will hold the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the comprehensive operations and financial success of the communities within their designated region. They will formulate operational strategies for both new and existing communities and support community leadership in implementing company-wide programs and initiatives to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Partner with the Chief Operating Officer and executive leadership team to develop and execute strategies that enhance occupancy and ensure efficient business operations that are scalable and sustainable, addressing the future needs of our organization.
  • Supervise the Regional Director of Operations, providing essential support and constructive feedback.
  • Embrace an ownership mentality, taking accountability for delivering results through empowerment and agency.
  • Focus on cultivating a culture of self-agency and accountability by rethinking how we measure success and fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
  • Recognize and reward behaviors that correlate with financial performance and profit-loss outcomes.
  • Expertly leverage, optimize, and expand the organization’s resources in a responsible and efficient manner to fulfill our strategic objectives and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Design and implement a top-tier operational model, including change alignment and management strategies that enable our teams to effectively adapt to and execute change in alignment with our goals.
  • Assess and enhance operational oversight to maximize efficiency and support across multiple locations.
  • Provide hands-on leadership by fostering an atmosphere of transparency, collaboration, respect, and accountability that motivates teams to excel.
  • Utilize expertise across teams, data, systems, and tools to strategically generate meaningful insights that prioritize focus and allow for agile responses to meet our objectives.
  • Drive initiatives for operational standardization and scalability across various locations, implementing best practices and standardized processes.
  • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at repositioning and revitalizing existing communities, including product redesign, market strategies, and lease-up efforts.
  • Oversee the sales function, developing, implementing, and sustaining sales strategies to maximize revenue potential across the portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advocate and ambassador for our communities.
  • Stay informed on trends impacting the senior living industry, as well as the specific dynamics within the markets where our communities operate, including changes in supply and demand, competition, and trends that may influence current and future performance.
