Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Architecture:


Develop and architect sophisticated network solutions utilizing Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and other top-tier networking technologies to facilitate RAN integration and connectivity.

Formulate network designs that enhance performance, scalability, and reliability while adhering to RAN specifications and standards.

Oversee the ordering, coordination, implementation, and closure of transport circuits across various market segments, including front haul (FH), mid haul (MF), and long-haul (LH) circuits.

Assist in crafting a dark fiber and transport strategy that incorporates existing assets and evaluates potential third-party fiber and transport networks.

Contribute to the development of best practices for evaluating new dark fiber vendors through thorough technical, financial, and commercial assessments.

Support the establishment of Comcast 5G transport standards and assist in drafting initial RFPs for partner selection in designated markets.

Collaborate with Transport Engineers to manage all aspects of transport RFPs to secure optimal techno-commercial solutions when third-party data center or transport solutions are required.


Network Implementation and Configuration:

Deploy and configure network devices and equipment from Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and other manufacturers to support RAN operations.

Implement network protocols and technologies, such as IP/MPLS, EVPN, and VXLAN, to facilitate efficient RAN connectivity and traffic management.


RAN Integration and Optimization:

Lead the integration of RAN components into the broader network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability.

Enhance RAN performance through strategic capacity planning, interference management, and spectrum optimization techniques.


Network Troubleshooting and Support:

Diagnose and resolve intricate network issues, particularly those related to RAN, employing advanced troubleshooting methodologies and tools.

Provide technical support and guidance to address network-related incidents and outages promptly.


Nokia CORE Expertise:


Leverage expertise in Nokia CORE technologies, including packet core and IMS, to facilitate the integration and operation of RAN components.

Configure and maintain Nokia CORE infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted communication between RAN and core network elements.


Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.

Share insights and best practices with team members and stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Assist with sourcing, contract management, negotiation, and supplier management strategies for all transport network components.

Engage with internal teams to identify data centers and dark fiber transport options that align with architectural requirements.

Coordinate all circuit design, ordering, and testing activities with transport engineers and provisioners.

Maintain an inventory of active transport services and numbering resources.

Lead regular meetings with internal and external transport vendors to ensure timely delivery of dark fiber and circuits.

Participate in deployment meetings to provide updates on transport implementation.

Collaborate with project management and construction teams to conduct site visits and ensure all equipment and installation requirements are clearly defined.

Foster strong relationships with transport vendors to facilitate deployment schedules and manage escalations to ensure timely service delivery.

Coordinate the input of network data into relevant industry databases and reporting systems.

Address inquiries and issues from business, engineering, deployment, and operations teams, escalating implementation-related concerns to leadership as necessary.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on RAN integration and operations.

Demonstrated expertise in Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and other leading networking technologies.

Hands-on experience with RAN equipment and protocols, including LTE, 5G, and small cell deployments.

OEM experience with network equipment vendors such as Nokia, Ericsson, or Huawei.

Proficiency in Nokia CORE technologies, including packet core and IMS, is essential.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for troubleshooting complex network issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
