POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a qualified Health and Wellness Director to lead our resident care initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our residents maintain their independence and well-being for as long as possible. The Director will collaborate with residents and their families to support their physical and emotional health. As a key member of the leadership team, this position may involve taking on the responsibilities of the Executive Director when necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Resident Care and Community Oversight

  • Manage the Resident Services Department to deliver exceptional care and services to all residents.
  • Act as the primary contact for residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding health-related matters.
  • Perform hands-on care tasks within the scope of practice as permitted by state regulations and company policies.
  • Uphold the philosophy and standards of the Resident Services department to ensure quality care for all residents.
  • Ensure that resident care aligns with their personal, physical, and cognitive needs while promoting their identity, independence, and social engagement.
  • Stay informed about OSHA and state regulations, regularly monitoring community compliance regarding resident care.

Team Leadership

  • Organize and staff the Resident Services Department effectively and efficiently.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of Resident Services by assessing staff performance, ensuring adherence to community and state regulations, and monitoring resource utilization.
  • Implement sound infection control practices to maintain a healthy environment and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Guide staff in delivering quality resident care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the scheduling of team members, ensuring that staffing needs are consistently met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing School. RN REQUIRED
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in an assisted living setting.
  • Minimum of three years in a management or leadership role.
  • Basic understanding of Geriatric Nursing principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant State Regulations.
