Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial security market. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of prospecting and acquiring new customers, as well as a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify potential markets and customers, and develop strategies to differentiate Convergint from competitors
  • Establish and implement strategies to expand the customer base in a specified vertical market or geographic location
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the commercial security market
  • Lead and train a team of Account Executives to upsell and cross-sell in existing and new accounts
  • Participate in the recruitment process and contribute to the development of training programs for Account Executives
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to assess sales performance, pricing strategies, and profitability
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of sales experience, including 2 years in the commercial security market
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to influence others
  • Experience in participating in the recruitment process
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
