Job Title: Project Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join our team at McShane Construction Company. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and coordinate construction plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the management of the construction site, including trailer, signage, material staging, vehicle access, and temporary utility access.
  • Implement and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, focusing on meeting their desired project schedule.
  • Conduct regular project inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor project labor productivity and budget adherence, reporting any deviations to the company.
  • Review and coordinate project shop drawings and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the completion of all project disciplines necessary to receive a certificate of occupancy.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in construction, preferably in multi-family construction, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and concrete experience preferred.
  • College education a plus.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, and local market conditions.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven record of building projects on schedule.
  • Ability to identify, investigate, and quantify project problems and corresponding alternatives and consequences.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work productively with others and foster solid client relationships.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, including Procore, Timberline, Bluebeam, CMiC, PlanGrid, Textura, and Field ID.
  • Ability to use the internet and Microsoft Office 365.
