Project Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join our team at McShane Construction Company. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Review working drawings, building specifications, and project plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Site Management: Maintain a safe and organized jobsite, including trailer, signage, material staging, and temporary utility access.
  • Safety and Quality: Implement and monitor safety measures and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients, identifying critical path requirements to meet desired schedules.
  • Project Inspections: Conduct regular project inspections to address owner concerns and ensure project quality.
  • Productivity and Budgeting: Monitor project labor productivity and budget deviations, reporting to the company as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in construction, preferably in multi-family construction, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and concrete experience.
  • Education: College education a plus.
  • Skills: Strong leadership/management skills, knowledge of construction technology, equipment, and methods, and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Software: Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Timberline, Bluebeam, CMiC, PlanGrid, Textura, and Field ID.
