The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of IT resources, including hardware, software, and licenses. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organization's IT assets are effectively utilized to meet operational needs while minimizing costs, risks, and waste. Key duties involve monitoring the performance, usage, and compliance of IT assets, along with providing insightful reports and recommendations for enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a precise inventory of all IT assets.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the smooth configuration and deployment of new IT equipment or applications.
- Oversee the IT Asset Management System, ensuring its accuracy and dependability.
- Generate detailed reports on IT assets, including their location and utilization.
- Work with procurement to secure additional IT hardware and software as needed.
- Assist in IT Asset Management audits and compliance obligations.
- Engage in the development of IT Asset Management process enhancements and best practices.
- Stay informed about the lifecycle stages of IT assets, ensuring proper retirement or disposal.
- Provide training and support on IT Asset Management best practices to other teams.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in IT asset management, IT service management, or IT operations.
- Certification in IT asset management, such as IAITAM, CSAM, or CHAMP is advantageous.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in prioritizing tasks and effectively managing competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to resolve routine issues.
- Basic understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures relevant to the role.
- Basic knowledge of regulatory compliance necessary for successful job performance.
- Familiarity with all Credit Union computer systems and software applications required for job duties.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with members, staff, vendors, and regulators.
