Role Overview

SimpliGov is a leading provider of cloud-based workflow automation, secure forms management, and e-signature platforms for the public sector. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SMB Account Executive to join our sales team in the South East territory, with a focus on Georgia.

This role is critical in driving digital transformation within the public sector through our innovative platform. As an SMB Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and driving sales growth in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Source and close new business to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the SimpliGov platform and its use cases, and identify opportunities to leverage our technology to drive business growth.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, and build strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Utilize email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach to aggressively prospect for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue new sales leads and opportunities.
  • Track customer information, forecasts, and reports using Salesforce.
  • Build and maintain a prospect and customer list using strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads.
Qualifications
  • At least 2-3 years of sales experience in a quota-carrying capacity.
  • SaaS and GovTech experience a plus.
  • Highly effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and nurture relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Self-starting and self-motivated, with a hunter-sales mentality and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Willingness to travel into territory 25% of the time.
