Healthcare Support Specialist: Summer Program

The Summer Health Aide will provide critical support to the Summer Building Nurse in ensuring the health and well-being of students participating in onsite summer programs at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. This role requires a strong understanding of health protocols and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote and support COVID-19 safety protocols, including procedures for students exposed or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 infection.
Respond appropriately to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
Assess the social and emotional climate for students and help establish a positive school culture and climate.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in the health field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be empathetic and listen to others.
Preference given to current CHA employees.
Experience working with youth, with nursing experience in a school setting preferred.
Contract Details:
Contract duration: July 15, 2024 to August 2, 2024.
Contract amount: Not to exceed $3,150 ($35 per hour).
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
As a condition of employment, all new hires will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 no later than their first day of work. Written requests for exemptions should be submitted to the Chief Talent Officer.
