Job Details

As a Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple commissioning projects. Successful candidates will possess a strong background in Mechanical/HVAC Systems Design/Engineering with 7-10 years of experience in Commissioning and Retro-Commissioning of both new and existing facilities. This role involves direct collaboration with the Principal Director to guide the Commissioning Group effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage concurrent commissioning projects.
  • Engage with clients and contractors effectively.
  • Conduct Equipment Performance Testing with strong technical skills.
  • Experience with BAS/BMS/Control Systems Testing and Integration is a plus.
  • Work on mid-size to large Institutional/Public Sector Projects and various Commercial Projects.

Qualifications:
  • $110K - $150K Base Salary, Plus Bonus, 401K, Full Benefits.
  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited program.
  • Desired Licenses & Certifications: PE License, CCP, CBCP, BCxP, CEM, LEED AP (Preferred but not required).
  • 7-10+ years of experience in commissioning projects for new construction and/or existing building retrofits.
  • Hands-on commissioning experience conducting site visits and systems testing.
  • Familiarity with CQV, start-up & commissioning, site auditing, and quality reviews.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/fire protection systems.
  • Ability to review construction documents and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and LEED commissioning standards.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC Controls.
  • Knowledge of benchmarking, energy auditing, and retro-commissioning for existing buildings.
  • Proficiency in energy use assessments and ASHRAE energy audits.
  • Familiarity with LEED Rating Systems and Energy Codes.
