POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Pre-Sales Engineer to deliver pre-sales assistance. This role requires proficiency in IP security cameras, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Environmental Monitoring, Visitor Management, and Mass Notification systems, alongside routine maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with audiences of varying technical expertise to present proposed products and services that meet their technological requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Engagement:
- Assess clients' needs and physical security requirements, recommending suitable solutions.
- Articulate complex physical security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Pre-Sales Collaboration:
- Work alongside the sales team to design and scope physical security solutions for prospective clients.
- Develop and present technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Statements of Work (SOW).
Implementation Oversight:
- Manage the installation, commissioning, and upkeep of critical physical security systems across multiple locations.
- Coordinate with Security and Technology Departments to define system specifications and select the best products.
Vendor and Project Coordination:
- Research and procure security hardware and software, ensuring optimal fit for our operations.
- Effectively communicate design concepts, recommendations, and project summaries to relevant stakeholders.
- Supervise vendors and contractors, ensuring high-quality service aligned with our security objectives.
- Conduct routine testing and performance evaluations of systems to ensure reliability and compliance.
Maintenance and Operations:
- Serve as the primary contact for resolving system issues, minimizing operational disruptions.
- Ensure system reliability through a comprehensive maintenance program aimed at achieving high uptime.
- Document all system configurations, processes, and maintenance activities clearly and accurately.
- Provide hands-on expertise in areas such as CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Willingness to work beyond standard hours based on customer commitments.
Continuous Professional Development:
- Stay informed about industry trends through educational opportunities, professional literature, and networking.
- Contribute insights for budgeting activities as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining physical security systems.
- Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve system configuration challenges.
- Relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing complex physical security programs.
- Familiarity with security system architectures, certifications, physical/electronic detection, and integration coding.
- Proficiency in Office Productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
- Ability to work remotely and travel for projects as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
