Nocturnal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

As a vital member of the Optum Care Delivery team, you will contribute significantly to our mission of improving healthcare for all.
Position Highlights:
- Lead a collaborative and comprehensive healthcare team as a hospitalist.
- Work a schedule of 7 nights on and 7 nights off.
- Manage crossover calls, emergency room admissions, and patient transfers during night shifts.
- Care for patients exclusively from a single payer system.
- All patients will have a WellMed primary care provider.
- Focus on quality care with a typical patient load of 10 to 13 patients per night.
- Work primarily with geriatric patients who have Medicare Advantage coverage.
- Performance metrics are heavily based on quality of care.

Compensation and Benefits Overview:
- Competitive base salary with an annual quality incentive target of $15,000.

Required Qualifications:
- Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current licensure from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or as a Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board.
- Valid DEA license.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient demographic.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts regularly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Understanding and support of a managed care environment.
