Job Opportunity

**Job Summary**

Texas Health Action is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Central Texas Austin Kind Clinic's. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and providing care for patients in consultation with and under the direct supervision of the attending Physician.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical procedures under the direction of the attending Physician and according to approved protocols.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, histories, and physicals to develop patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, facility staff members, and other agencies to coordinate optimal care and resource utilization.
  • Work independently as a team member with all levels of clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing or Physician Assistant's Program.
  • 2+ years of outpatient experience as a NP or PA.
  • Unrestricted and valid license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
  • Current DEA and DPS registrations IIIV for prescription writing purposes.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ and other marginalized populations.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Working knowledge of Athena electronic medical record software.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare insurance.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary band 49 with an annual salary range of $95,000 to $100,000 per year.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health care plan, retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off, and training and development opportunities.
