  • Compensation: $29.35/hr
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000.00
  • Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 5pm Dispatch
Role Purpose:

As a Shuttle Driver, you play a crucial role in our operations by transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to designated shuttle yards. You will operate tandem trailers, tractor trailers, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Your role involves professional interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct all necessary safety inspections (pre/post trip) of the tractor/truck and trailer in accordance with DOT regulations; ensure compliance with company safety standards.
  • Report any safety concerns or required repairs.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations and company driving policies; report safety hazards immediately.
  • Ensure all necessary route documentation is available upon dispatch.
  • Drive and deliver trailers according to a predetermined schedule.
  • Perform hook/unhook procedures following safety protocols.
  • Park and store trailers in designated areas.
  • Secure all equipment and freight appropriately.
  • Handle damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork.
  • Unload equipment and materials as required.
  • Maintain daily records of service hours in compliance with Federal DOT, state, and company regulations.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor and loading dock area.
  • Carry out other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience driving tractor trailers.
  • Valid CDL A License.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements (if applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Availability for a 3rd shift schedule, Sunday – Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Capable of lifting and utilizing equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying sizes and weights throughout the shift; product generally weighs between 60 to 90 pounds.
