Position Overview

As a key player in our logistics team, you will be responsible for the secure loading and unloading of large and heavy materials. Your role will involve the safe transportation of these items, requiring skills in rigging, climbing, and securing equipment effectively. Proficiency in handling various trailer types, including lowboy and flatbed, is essential. You will be accountable for the timely and safe delivery of loads, emphasizing the importance of good inventory management practices.

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL with air-brake endorsement.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Class A CDL driving, particularly with aggregates and asphalt materials. Experience with oversized and overweight loads is preferred.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to operate a standard transmission is necessary.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record is a must.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug/alcohol testing.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to operate with minimal supervision and high accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both individually and in group settings.
  • Flexibility to travel long distances and work nights and weekends as needed, including overtime.
  • Basic computer skills are required for reporting, scheduling, and mapping tasks.

Compensation Information:

The base salary range for this position is $XX.XX-$XX.XX, exclusive of benefits or bonuses. The final compensation will be influenced by factors such as geographic location, business needs, market conditions, skills, education, and experience. At Martin Marietta, we prioritize internal pay equity and will consider compensation for those in similar roles. The posted range reflects the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top of the range should not be expected, as it would limit salary growth opportunities and may not align with internal equity. In addition to competitive base compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, which may include medical, dental, and vision coverage; prescription drug coverage; health savings accounts; flexible spending accounts; life, AD&D, and disability insurance; a 401(k) plan with company match; and an employer-funded pension plan.
