Front Desk Team Member

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Team Member to join our team at Aperto.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and process incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Make appointments for new and follow-up patients, ensuring accurate scheduling and communication.
- Check in patients, providing them with necessary paperwork and ensuring a smooth registration process.
- Collect co-pays, prior balances, and deductible payments, maintaining accurate records.
- Verify insurance and obtain authorizations according to health plan requirements.
- Communicate insurance information with patients, addressing any concerns or questions.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and attorneys' offices regarding medical records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform administrative tasks, including opening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, filing charts and paperwork, and managing office inventory of medications and supplements.
- Assist with special projects as directed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Prepare and send daily reports to designated supervisors, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum one year experience in a medical office or facility.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of healthcare insurance practices and compliance essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, customer relations, and organizational skills required.
- Ability to quickly incorporate new learning into practice, demonstrating adaptability and a growth mindset.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
- Requires keyboard work and frequent computer data entry.
- Requires attendance on a regular basis and reliable transportation.
