Senior Custodian, Irvine Environmental Services

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Custodian to join our Environmental Services team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Senior Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and general maintenance duties in acute and non-acute in-patient, out-patient, and non-patient areas.
- Exercise care and caution in the use of supplies and equipment while performing custodial tasks.
- Perform resilient tile and carpet care maintenance tasks, including stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing.
- Other various related housekeeping duties may be performed as assigned.
- Previous experience working in a service industry position.
- Previous experience interacting with internal and external customers.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Ability to work in various locations, as well as rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Demonstrated custodial experience working in a healthcare environment.
