Senior Vocational Nurse

UCI Health is seeking a skilled Senior Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities:- Initiate venous access for IV contrast administration during imaging procedures
- Assist with other nursing procedures, medication administration, and vital sign collection
- Collect and process specimens for analysis
- Support MRI and CT procedures by prepping patients, assisting technologists, and maintaining equipment inventory
- Port Access Certification (obtainable within 3 months of hire)
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- IV Certification and experience working with pediatric patients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a fast-paced work environment and establish effective working relationships
- Understanding of JCAHO requirements and knowledge of University and medical center organizations
- Experience working in an imaging environment, ambulatory surgical, plastics, or dermatology setting, or hospital environment
- Current PALS certification and bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
- LVN
- BLS
