We are seeking a skilled Senior Vocational Nurse to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in our acute care setting.
Responsibilities- Perform assigned nursing procedures, including vital sign collection and specimen processing.
- Assist physicians with examinations and treatments, observing and recording patient physical and mental conditions.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Minimum 6 months experience working as an LVN in an acute care setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and establish effective working relationships.
- Current LVN licensure and BLS certification.
- Understanding of JCAHO requirements and knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese.
