About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at The Boston Beer Company. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Account Management: Sell our entire product portfolio to new and existing accounts, with a focus on increasing availability and visibility of products.
  • Account Development: Identify major accounts not currently selling our products and develop a plan to establish business with them.
  • Merchandising and Display: Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase visibility of the brand.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts.
  • Education and Training: Conduct waitstaff / bartender educations, beer tastings, and evening promotions to increase sales and brand awareness.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry.
  • Qualifications: An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality, valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently, climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $45,900 - $67,820 annually based on location and experience level.
  • Annual Discretionary Bonus: Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
  • Car Allowance: Certain sales positions are eligible for a car allowance.
