Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer-specific program managers to achieve optimal productivity and delivery, ensuring adherence to the Autokiniton launch process (ALP) and meeting customer expectations.
  • Provide key input into the development of strategic goals and identify key measurables to support program management departmental goals.
  • Ensure a strong and healthy relationship with customers, developing peer relationships with Customer Senior Managers.
  • Assess and build bench-strength and organizational capabilities, creating a high-performance work environment.
  • Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports, including mentoring, coaching, counseling, and corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Provide direction and leadership consistent with departmental business plan goals.
  • Responsible for the development and training of program management and direct reports on the Autokiniton launch process (ALP).
  • Hold program review meetings to ensure compliance to the ALP and ensure program management teams are meeting timing, tracking engineering changes, developing BOM, communicating to key stakeholders (customer, plants, functional leaders) on critical path items.
  • Oversee multiple customer programs with a focus on managing risk.
  • Report out program status to all levels of leadership.
  • Cultivate customer relationships.
  • Manage and encourage cost savings efforts at the plants on new programs.
  • Identify validation/performance requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to further enhance company processes and policies.
  • Responsible for leading program reviews and weekly tech reviews with the program team.
  • Ensure all customer concerns have responses and containment statements.

This full-time role is a part of our program management team and reports to the Vice President of Program Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field, or equivalent experience. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Eight (8) or more years' experience in stamping, or similar manufacturing processes, materials, and complex assemblies.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Program Management with a minimum of two (2) years of Senior Program Manager experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of APQP procedures, along with the ability to manage and maintain standardized procedures.
  • Solid knowledge of business finance metrics, income statements, cash flow, balance sheets, EBITDA, and IRR.
  • Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem resolution skills, along with customer service and team orientation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Understanding of GD&T, CAD systems, and other software related to the position.
  • Computer literate with customer-required software (ex. WIERS, GPDS) and SPC software literate.
  • Ability to travel (domestic & international) to support customer visits and plant launches.
  • Knowledge of automotive structural products and processes.

Working Conditions:

Duties include but are not limited to remaining in a stationary position, moving about inside an office environment, maneuvering around/under office furniture, operating a computer, printer, and phone. Able to position self to install IT equipment, able to communicate information so others can understand and exchange accurate information in these situations, able to observe details at a close range, and have an ability to travel to manufacturing locations. When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, or hazardous materials.
