About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator II, you will report to the Estimating Manager and support their discipline background in bid pursuits. This role involves preparing accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned projects, soliciting subcontractor and/or supplier quotations, and participating in plan review and estimate reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed estimates for assigned projects, including quantity surveys and labor costs.
  • Solicitation and Review: Solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, and review plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Architects/Engineers to request clarifications or additional information, and attend project meetings as assigned.
  • Software Familiarity: Become familiar with all estimating software used by the company.
Lead Estimator Designation

If designated as the Lead Estimator on an estimate, you will be responsible for supervising and lining out all team members, providing adequate information, establishing bidding schedules, and conducting final reviews at least two days before the bid due date.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of estimating experience.
  • KSAOs: Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs, set a personal example of safe behavior, and participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 per year, with ongoing performance reviews and merit increases. Additional benefits include:
