At MJ Hughes Construction, we are seeking a skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the company's future by providing expertise and leadership for all estimating efforts.

Job Summary

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for the development and delivery of complete construction estimates for various projects in public works and heavy civil construction. This includes overseeing the estimating process, soliciting bids from vendors and subcontractors, tracking and reporting on multiple estimates, and ensuring timely completion within tight deadlines and assigned budgets.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years' experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years' of estimating experience. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred. Knowledge of construction practices for earthwork and concrete construction projects, as well as expertise with unit price contracting, are essential. Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and Insite takeoff is also desirable.
