We are currently seeking a Clinical Authorization Coordinator for Diagnostic Imaging. In this pivotal position, you will enhance the patient experience within the Cancer Care Continuum by facilitating the insurance approval process for diagnostic imaging services. Your expertise will help navigate any challenges that may arise, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours

Salary: $19.95 - $28.82 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process medical necessity documentation for patient treatments, ensuring adherence to established pathways.
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical personnel to communicate any specific requirements or restrictions imposed by insurance providers.
  • Provide timely updates to physicians and management regarding documentation and payer-related issues.
  • Secure insurance authorizations and pre-certifications specifically for diagnostic imaging services, acting as a liaison between patients and payers.
  • Investigate alternative resources for non-covered services to mitigate payment denials.
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of community resources for patients, including financial assistance programs and pharmaceutical support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Healthcare or LPN state license is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in medical insurance verification and authorization is required.
