Patient Access Coordinator

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient access and care.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certification activities
- Act as a clinical liaison with physician practices, interacting with pre-visit services
- Register patients with accurate demographic and financial data
- Collect patient balances, co-payments, and other payment types
- Verify coverage and obtain prior authorization and referrals as needed
- Manage daily appointment schedules and make reminder calls
- Transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment
- 1 year of medical office or related customer service experience
- Strong background in customer service and conflict resolution
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
