Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Consultant will provide brief, evidence-based assessments and interventions to support functional restoration and symptom management. This role is part of an integrated care team, working closely with medical and allied health providers to develop clear treatment plans for patient management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply biopsychosocial models of human behavior and development to provide effective interventions in a time-limited setting.
  • Target treatment for mental health concerns, substance abuse, adverse health behaviors, and stress-related physical symptoms.
  • Provide patient and family education to encourage compliance with medical and behavioral treatment plans.
  • Utilize electronic health records and verbal communication to effectively communicate with medical providers.
  • Collaborate with the crisis team, coordinate with emergency departments, and perform clinical, compliance, and administrative duties related to Medicare billing.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of post-master's practice experience in applied psychotherapy or integrated behavioral health in a primary care setting.
  • Masters degree in social work or a related behavioral health field.
  • Professional Counselor License (Colorado) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Colorado) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Colorado) required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bi- or multi-lingual.
