Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts (3x12 Hr)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.

License: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as appropriate for unit or service

Must-Have:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an ASN required
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing independent nursing functions and executing delegated medical functions following accepted practice standards.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
  • Evaluating health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
  • Conducting health teaching and health counseling.
  • Providing therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to life and wellbeing, either directly to the patient or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching others.
  • Referencing patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
  • Reviewing and monitoring therapy and treatment plans.
  • Documenting in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilizing resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Promoting the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare organization, abiding by service behavior standards.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • May be required to float to other departments based on business need and within the scope of competency and qualifications.
  • Potential for oncall duties during a regularly scheduled shift.
