Slayden Constructors Inc. (SCI), a subsidiary of MWH Constructors, Inc. (MWH), is actively seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to contribute to significant wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and water treatment plant (WTP) construction initiatives in the Salem/Willamette Valley area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to project management and supervision teams to ensure efficient, timely construction work in accordance with company policies and engineering standards.
  • Assist in the procurement and management of subcontractors, development of project packages, construction layout, and material and equipment procurement.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with relevant permits, codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary documentation, including materials and equipment submittals, status reports, and calculations.
  • Create drawings and sketches to support construction activities, temporary works, and change orders.
  • Facilitate the submission of work method statements and ensure all required approvals and permits are secured prior to project commencement.
  • Address drawing interpretation issues and initiate Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.
  • Establish building control lines and elevations for accurate material installation.
  • Implement office procedures related to construction contract administration.
  • Maintain up-to-date project management systems and assist in the review of contractor claims and change orders.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2-3 years of field construction experience at the job site level.
  • Experience with large heavy civil construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Primavera Contract Manager or SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in water/wastewater construction.
