Project Engineer III Job Description

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the change management process under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Participate in monthly cost report meetings and contribute meaningful data and talking points
  • Adhere to project controls procedures, including monthly cost control, pay requests, and cost reporting
  • Expedite material deliveries and accurately estimate and prepare shop drawings
  • Encourage innovative approaches to problems and opportunities
  • Develop business through identifying client needs and communicating the value and differentiation of Gilbane to prospective clients
  • Review customer feedback and build a customer-centric mentality within teams
Requirements:
  • BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5+ years of experience with a construction manager, general contractor organization working on $5-$50 million construction projects
  • Proven capability to establish specific, measurable performance goals and hold others accountable
  • Demonstrated ability to build active team participation and strengthen positive interactions
  • Ability to articulate financial knowledge and customer satisfaction awareness
  • Strong verbal and written skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Financial management familiarity and OSHA 10-hour certification, with OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
