Overview:

This role acts as the primary contact and resource for both internal and external inquiries related to service concerns on patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine patient account histories and engage with relevant internal/external resources as needed to investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
  • Refer or escalate issues to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Document and annotate patient accounts with identified issues and the actions taken.
  • Address customer inquiries promptly to ensure the timely and accurate resolution of patient account matters. Provide guidance and support regarding the establishment of payment plans and the rectification of billing or collection errors.

Educational and Certification Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Additional Information:

Complexity of Work: This position requires critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal supervision. The role demands the ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment and to take appropriate actions. A typing speed of 35 words per minute is required. Previous work experience is not mandatory.
