Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Trachte, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing site-specific environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with company policy and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Create and implement site-specific environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with company policy and all applicable laws.
  • Provide Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction and leadership for environmental health and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance with all safety and environmental programs.
  • Educate and Train Employees: Educate, train, and provide support in the development and execution of company safety and environmental management programs.
  • Investigate Incidents: Investigate all safety incidents and safety observations to determine root cause and develop programs for improvement.
  • Coach Managers: Coach managers on best practices to promote a culture of safety awareness company-wide.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Meetings: Lead cross-functional safety meetings designed to share information and drive improving performance.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analyses: Conduct job safety analyses.
  • Monitor Safety Programs: Monitor all health and safety programs, including EAP, Confined Space, Haz Com, Hearing Conservation, LOTO, PPE, Bloodborne Pathogens, and driver safety.
  • Conduct Training: Conduct all new hire and ongoing safety training for employees.
  • Maintain Safety Records: Maintain safety records, facility inspection records, incident files, and any associated safety and environmental databases.
  • Review and Approve Audits: Review and approve safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communications, creative, and facilitative skills, and interest in working in a team environment.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in EHS management (e.g., Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly desirable.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED: Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED or be willing to obtain.
