Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Dietitian to join our Food Service Nutrition Team at the University of Toledo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing nutrition education and training support to the campus community, implementing corporate wellness programming, and coordinating with the dining management team to meet dietary needs for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides nutrition education and training support for the campus community, including tabling, lunch and learn sessions, and one-on-one counseling.
  • Implements corporate wellness programming to promote healthy lifestyles and behaviors among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Coordinates with the dining management team and culinary associates to meet dietary needs for all customers, including special diets and food allergies.
  • Provides nutrition-related training, including food allergen training, to all associates.
  • Assists the management team with menu development and nutrient analysis to ensure that our menu offerings meet the nutritional needs of our customers.
  • Collaborates with marketing to ensure appropriate nutrition communication and messaging to promote our services and programs.
  • Leads Dining Services Sustainability efforts, partnering with operations and campus stakeholders to track, improve, and communicate sustainability efforts in all dining spaces.
  • Operational execution and oversight, including hands-on work in dining spaces to serve guests, train associates, audit systems, collaborate with unit leadership, and ensure excellence in operations and culinary services.
  • Partners with various campus offices, departments, and organizations to ensure alignment with university goals and needs.
Qualifications:
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and group formats.
  • Experience working with special diets and food allergies is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract managed services experience is desirable.
  • ServSafe Manager certified is a plus.
  • Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications and nutrient analysis programs.
