Job Summary

Government Jobs is seeking a highly skilled Plant Operator II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate water and wastewater treatment facilities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Monitor and control treatment processes to ensure optimal water quality and minimize environmental impact.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment operations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing water and wastewater treatment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires regular exposure to chemicals, loud noises, and other hazardous conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
