POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lodging Operations Supervisor will oversee the upkeep of guest accommodations, workspaces, and the overall hotel environment, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.

This role involves coordinating daily housekeeping functions and upholding the established housekeeping benchmarks. The supervisor is tasked with evaluating guest rooms to guarantee that room attendants meet high standards of guest satisfaction and experience. On occasion, the supervisor may also assist the housekeeping management with various tasks and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts inspections of guestroom cleaning and servicing.
  • Monitors the cleanliness of guest corridors.
  • Delegates special assignments as instructed by management.
  • Reports any required repairs or inconsistencies in guest rooms.
  • Ensures that all room attendants are equipped with necessary supplies and linens.
  • Provides assistance in cleaning guest rooms when needed.
  • Helps in managing AM and PM room status reports.
  • Maintains organization of the room attendants' linen carts.
  • Ensures linen closets on guest room floors are fully stocked.
  • Keeps the supply storage area tidy and organized at all times.
  • Ensures all guest rooms are logged via phone upon completion of cleaning.
  • Utilizes door stoppers to keep guest room doors open when necessary.
  • Prioritizes inspection of VIP rooms promptly.
  • Gives priority to checking out rooms.
  • Possesses knowledge of hotel facilities and events.
  • Ensures a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred: proficiency in English.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Capability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintains a well-groomed and tidy appearance.
  • Demonstrates reliability in attendance and punctuality.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior experience in housekeeping is advantageous.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Engages in physically demanding tasks such as standing for extended periods (over 4 hours daily); walking (over 4 hours daily); bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, twisting (over 4 hours daily); and handling various objects.
  • Capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Performs repetitive tasks.
  • Works in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
  • Closed-toe, non-canvas, and non-skid footwear.
